Mom Maso started a community garden in 1985 with the help of her husband and children, selling vegetables to the local village. Soon she saw the need to uplift her community by initiating other projects like sewing, catering and trained people in pottery. Being a community worker she also managed to accommodate a mobile clinic at her home to bring health services nearer to the people. Read More

Sarah Chuene has a farm just outside of Pretoria. She produces vegetables on a 5ha portion of land. The cash crops she produces include cabbages, spinach, tomatoes and beetroot. She supplies two major supermarkets and the street vendors in the area. Read More
