In Mooi River KZN a farm was purchased under the PLAS scheme – the proactive land acquisition strategy. The farm recently underwent a farm inspection by the Land Management Unit where various recommendations were made. The farm, which is in full operation, has cattle handling facilities, grazing veld, two water pumps and a dam. Read More

Peat is a type of soil that is formed when plant material is not entirely decayed due to acidic and anaerobic conditions. Mostly found in the Northern hemisphere, it is used as a fuel when dried, but the most important property of peat is it’s retention of moisture. Last year Mhlongamvula Farm received a state visit from President Jacob Zuma, during his Masibambisane rural development project.
